Me

I figure the best way to start this blog is to say a bit about myself, beyond what is in my little blurb on the right.

My name is Brydie, and I'm a 20 year old accountant who is still studying at university. I am really summed up well by my blog title- I am a mad fanatic of many things, but those two are the ones (at this point in my life) that take up the bulk of my free time (and cash). Other things that jostle for my attention include-

- my cat (who is currently asleep on my foot. He is very needy, a trait I may or may not have encouraged over the years and now regret)

- my car- I drive a gorgeous Ford Fiesta Zetec, which I take much pride in taking car of (just not during the process itself!)

- my friends, who I don't see nearly enough of anymore- something I'm hoping to correct this summer whilst on holidays from university

- my family, again not seeing enough of them most of the time (although sometimes we can't wait to get away from each other!)

- technology- I don't own the latest or greatest of much tech, but I try to way too much! Currently fawning over the new TV and Wii in my room, and trying to avoid buying more games for it. Not an easy task, as I am finding!

And then there are the two aforementioned loves in the title-

- Motorbikes- this is slightly misleading- "motorbike racing", or even "motorbike and car racing" would be more accurate. I do ride, but haven't for a while (due to medical reasons), and only a scooter at this point. My passion lies with the racing- MotoGP to be exact. I also love V8 Supercars, a primarily Australian touring cars series. I have never been able to get into F1 however.

- makeup- and too much of it. Need to clear out my makeup drawer, which I am now struggling to close. But that will just give me an excuse to buy more. My 3 brands I love are MAC, Chanel and Guerlain- in other words, 3 of the most expensive brands I could find in my local area! Currently fawning over Chanel's Spring collection, and trying to slim down my "OMG WANT!!!!" list to something that will not make me cry over my AMEX bill (again).

I guess the tl;dr is best summed up with what I will be posting on here- makeup/beauty reviews, reviews/summaries of motorbike racing and gear, and just general other reviews/ramblings from my life. I am choosing to do reviews (even though as an Aussie I am normally at least a month behind everybody else!) as it keeps me succinct- something you can tell I struggle with!

Finally, a bit of admin- the stuff I post on here are my personal views, and they don't represent anybody else, including my employer or any other person/organisation. I am not affiliated with any person/brand, although I will admit to some bias! Finally, those who know me personally- I would appreciate it if you didn't post my employer/university/any other identifying details on here. As I said, I don't represent any of those, and I don't want people to be even able to make that link.

Oh, and if anybody wants to offer to help with design/coding for my blog, much appreciated. You will get my eternal love and a promo on the site. As you can tell, I'm not the best at that sort of stuff!
